3 Charged During Long Island Massage Parlor Raid, Police Say

Three women were arrested on various charges, including prostitution, after an undercover investigation on Long Island, according to police.

The raid took place on Thursday, Nov. 30 in Franklin Square after Nassau County Police conducted an undercover investigation at Zen Retreat Spa, located at 346 Franklin Avenue.

A 30-year-old Hicksville woman was taken into custody and charged with unauthorized practice of a profession.

A 31-year-old woman from Jamaica, Queens was also arrested and charged with prostitution.

Additionally, police arrested another Queens woman, age 30, who allegedly had her 5-year-old child with her in the spa.

She was charged with:

  • Unlawfully dealing with a child;
  • Endangering the welfare of a child; and
  • Promoting prostitution.

Her child was released into the custody of a family member.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, Dec. 1 at First District Court in Hempstead.

The women from Hicksville and Jamaica, Queens, were released on appearance tickets and are due back in court on Wednesday, Dec. 20.
